Coronavirus Covid 19 Update

Ditton Primary School is following the advice of Public Health England (PHE) and the Local Authority to ensure that everything that can be done is being done to protect the health of students, staff and visitors. The School receives the latest advice and guidance from the Department for Education, and updates and responds appropriately to any recommendations. The current advice to schools is that we should continue to actively support the campaign to promote good hygiene but should not be unduly worried about the possibility of our students catching the Coronavirus.

At this time, no-one at our school has presented with any symptoms and there is no reason why your child should not continue to attend school.

The School advises all parents to regularly review the latest government public information at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public . click HERE to be taken to this webpage.

The Department for Education has launched a new helpline [available Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00] to answer questions about the Coronavirus in schools. You can contact this helpline by: Phone: 0800 046 8687 or Email: DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk.

If you think you have symptoms of the Coronavirus, you should call NHS 111 for advice or 999 if it is an emergency. Do NOT go directly to your GP or other healthcare providers. The NHS Coronavirus public information notice has been placed in all public areas of the School.

The School will continue to reinforce with students to “catch it, bin it, kill it” as well as promoting good hand hygiene through Assemblies and PSHE lessons.

We will continue to follow official advice and keep you advised of any further developments.

Welcome

Inspire Challenge Achieve Nurture

Welcome to Ditton Primary School.

We are a large primary school in Widnes that has been in its “new” building for almost 15 years. The school has a long history and has always had strong links with the local community.

I am very proud to be the Interim Headteacher and lead the rapid improvements that have been required. This is a school rapidly moving forward!
Our whole school community is committed to providing the children with the best education we can and continue to work together bringing about the changes needed.

We are well known for our nurturing approach, how each child is recognised as an individual and for the wide range of opportunities that we provide for learning beyond the classroom.

Our children are happy, the staff are hardworking and our community supports us!

Visitors to our school are always warmly welcomed; please contact the school office if you wish to arrange a visit.
